Adds a configurable energy ring around the camera lens that shows the current battery level. Dive into the various configuration options, not only can you quickly peek at battery information, but Energy Ring adds an accent to your phone’s camera lens.
Got a full load? The ring will be a 360 degree wrap around the front camera lens.
Battery exhausted? So does the arc of the energy ring.
Out of the box features:-
✓ Energy ring can be configured from a width of 1 pixel to a donut-thick ring
✓ Energy Ring uses almost 0% CPU load as it only wakes up to reflect a change in battery level
✓ The direction of the energy ring can be configured as clockwise/bidirectional/counterclockwise
✓ Energy Ring can be hidden on full-screen content (apps, videos, images, games, etc.).
✓ The energy ring can be configured to automatically change colors depending on the battery level
✓ Energy ring could be mono color/multiple color segments/gradient (Pro)
✓ You can literally assign any color in the world to your favorite configuration
✓ Energy Ring has a bunch of cool animations when a power source is plugged into your device
That’s all cool! But what about Energy Ring draining battery?!
This is one of the most intriguing questions I have to answer. Energy Ring understands more than anything that you need to use your battery efficiently (after all, that’s what you installed the app for, right? .) Energy Ring sits on the screen and silently loads the CPU at almost 0%. When the battery level changes, Android wakes up Energy Ring. Once awake, Energy Ring will quickly update itself and go back to sleep. And to be extra efficient, the ring goes into deep sleep when you turn the screen off, meaning it won’t even read battery level changes when the screen is off.
Accessibility service requirement:
Android requires Energy Ring to be running as an accessibility service to appear on the lock screen. It does not read/monitor any data. This is especially useful for people who can’t read numbers and work better with visual data.
No loading animation?
Settings > Accessibility > Visibility Enhancements > Remove Animations > disable if enabled.
Energy Ring disappearing on Xiaomi devices?
Settings>Apps>Manage apps>Energy ring> *Turn on autostart*
The original variant of the app, Energy Bar, has been used by users on their AMOLED devices for several years, there have been no complaints. But there is no pretense that it cannot happen.
Activate again after leaving the energy saving mode:
When you go into sleep mode, the system disables Energy Ring, to enable it again you need to restart your device.
Samsung automatically shifts some pixels every now and then to avoid screen burn-in, which causes the energy ring to move away from its original position. However, this change in position is only visible if you have set the thickness to the minimum.
